Swanmore Junior Rugby

More Than Schools gave a grant for rugby kit, equipment and initial 

coaching  costs.

'Swanmore Junior Rugby Academy is for pupils from Primary schools in the Swanmore College cluster: Curdridge, Droxford, Ridgemede, St Johns, Swanmore and Wickham. By taking Junior leaders into other schools and teaching 'FUNdamentals' the project also aims to reach pupils from Bishops Waltham, Meonstoke and Newton Soberton Infant schools.

The aim is to develop a junior rugby academy that provides a friendly and safe environment for the local community, promoting 'club' knowledge of rugby that can be sustained and maintained coupled with improving the standards of health of the young participants.'
